ISO 22000:2018

ISO 22000:2018 is an international standard that specifies requirements for food chain organizations to demonstrate their ability to control hazards and ensure food safety.

It was first published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in 2005 and amended in 2018.

It incorporates the requirements of HACCP , the requirements of the prerequisites (PRP’s and OPRP’s) , the requirements of applicable legislation and the general principles of management systems.

Who is it addressed to?

Small and large businesses or organizations of a private and public nature, regardless of size, involved in the supply chain and includes businesses involved in the production of animal feed, primary production, processing, transportation, storage up to the retail sale and distribution of food to the consumer
Service businesses
Subcontractors and suppliers of the above organizations (e.g. equipment, packaging, cleaning products, additives and ingredients, etc.)
